“We will be doing all we can to support members during this time and that we yet again urge the company to interact with Usdaw as the trade union for Boots staff, to ensure that employees’ voices are heard and all sorts of avenues are explored in this difficult time.”

Seb James, Managing Director of shoes UK, told Nottinghamshire Live: “The era of the last year have changed consumer behaviours forever and that we must adapt our business to meet these new needs.

“This means investing in our digital business, serving customers more proficiently and, above all, becoming much swifter and much more agile.

“I am acutely aware that this structural change is going to be difficult for our amazing team in Nottingham and we will do everything we can to make sure that we support and help anyone who is affected.”
